The Northeast Sustainable Energy Association Presents:

BuildingEnergy10, March 9-11, 2010

Meet the Professionals in Sustainability and Whole Systems Thinking

Generating truly new ideas in the world of sustainability requires whole systems thinking, a cross-disciplinary approach, and rigorous standards for content and case studies.  Find all this and more at NESEA's BuildingEnergy Conference March 9-11, 2010, at the Seaport World Trade Center in Boston, MA.  BuildingEnergy is the only conference where architects, designers, planners, builders, policymakers, manufacturers, and installers work together to determine what's possible. This year's theme: Reduce, Retrofit, and Renew. Conference sessions range from emerging trends in renewable energy to deep energy retrofits of commercial and residential buildings.  The Trade Show features 160 exhibitors with the next generation of sustainable technologies and products. Hear about the things you can do today to reach the goal of zero net energy - where you produce as much energy as you use. Register on line now.

For BuildingEnergy10, we welcome Betsy Pettit of Building Science Corporation as Chair and Bruce Coldham of Coldham & Hartman Architects as Vice Chair. They have worked throughout the summer and fall with the BE10 Planning Committee to develop content for the BuildingEnergy10 Conference. Click the buttons on the left hand menu bar to see the Track Overview, Tuesday Workshops, Wednesday Sessions or Thursday Sessions.

Green roofs are the future we build today. They should not be an expendable option. Cumulatively, green roofs contribute to energy conservation, building cost savings, energy efficiency and stormwater management. This workshop will debunk green roof myths and provide important data to assist in your consideration of green roofs.

Two world experts will be in Boston on Tuesday, March 9th to conduct a half-day workshop about green roofs from 2-5 pm:

Prof. Brad Bass, University of Toronto
--- energy efficiency modeling & research

Mr. Charlies Miller, Roofscapes, Inc.
---- stormwater specialist/engineer

NESEA has extended a very special opportunity to the Foundation for a Green Future, Inc. - we have the chance to run this workshop for less than a third of its original price - but we must pack the room!  Please sign up for this workshop and/or pass this invitation along to anyone who you believe has unanswered questions about green roofs.  We have until March 3rd.  Thank you in advance!
